Privacy Policy

IsItEdible collects your email address and password hash to provide an account, saved finds and usage counters to provide the service, and photos you submit for AI identification. If you grant location access, the app can attach approximate location data to a saved find or use it to suggest a foraging region.

Submitted photos are sent to our AI processing provider to return an identification. Payments are handled by Stripe; IsItEdible does not store full card details. We retain account and saved-find data until you delete your account, subject to operational backups and records we must keep by law.

We do not sell personal information. The app can be used without granting location access, and camera or photo-library access is only used when you choose to scan or select a photo.

Delete your account

Delete your account at any time from the app's Info > Delete Account control, or sign in to the web account page and choose Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your account and saved finds. Active subscriptions are canceled before deletion.

If you cannot sign in, use the support instructions below and include the email address on the account so we can verify the request.

Terms of Service

IsItEdible provides identification assistance, not a guarantee that a wild food is safe. AI results can be wrong. Never eat a wild plant or mushroom based only on this app; verify every identification with a qualified local expert and follow safe preparation guidance.

You are responsible for the photos and information you submit and for keeping your account secure. Paid plans renew according to the terms shown at checkout and can be managed through the Stripe customer portal.

For account, privacy, or deletion help, sign in and use the web account page. If you cannot access the account, use the account deletion option in the app after signing in or contact the app owner through the project support channel.
